Little Geneva

Saturday, 9th November 2019 from 21:00-23:00

The Bristol-based band, Little Geneva, formed on the eve before 2019, brought together by a shared love and appreciation of the British blues boom of the mid-1960s.

Little Geneva was born out of a conversation between the Doherty brothers, Dave and Chris. Having been stalwarts of the U.K. contemporary blues scene for over a decade, they decided to get back on stage together, as part of a genuinely exciting live band.

Strange Folk

Saturday, 30th November 2019 from 21:00-23:00

‘Strange Folk’ evolved in Hertfordshire during 2002, and are currently based in Herts & Somerset. But there’s nothing strange about this band of three guys and one girl, or their music – a vibrant fusion of retro rock, folk and neo-gothic elements.

The band’s roots are in folk, and distinct rock aspirations are tempered by a recognisable folk vein running through their songs to varying degrees. Dark impressive vocals ride the crest of a truly great sound that transports the listener to another time – a time when long hair, beads and flares roamed the lands; while elements of gothic/ acid/ grunge/indie rock folk generate a cauldron of flavours to excite.

Saturday, 14th December 2019 from 21:00-23:00

Dryadic’s luscious, emotive pop hooks and candid, heartfelt lyrics traverse an acoustic-pop spectrum with eastern European influence at one end, and British trad-folk at the other.

Zora and Jo deftly deploy double guitar, fiddle, dreamy vocals and percussive toys to bring their musings on the human condition to life, creating a captivating, magical sound that promises to ensnare the most diverse of audiences.
